Community Leadership & Awards:

I am a Decatur and Cerro Gordo native and I’m passionate about giving back to the community. That’s why I serve on the Sixth Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Committee, the Board of Directors for St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur, and the Board of Directors for Central Illinois Estate Planning Council. I am also Past-President of the Decatur Bar Association and was honored to receive the Russel D. Hoebert Pro Bono Award from the same association in 2018. I was recently inducted to the Public Interest Law Initiative Pro Bono Volunteer Honor Roll. I am also a proud member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood.

A little about me…

My name is Drew Hickey, and I am proud to be a Partner with Bolen, Robinson, and Ellis, LLP. I have been practicing law since 2010 and have been fortunate to have gained rich and diverse experiences in various areas of law. As an attorney, my primary focus has been in adoption, guardianship, wills and estates, and probate estates.

Before becoming a Partner at BRE Law, I worked as in-house counsel for Hospital Sisters Health System at St. Mary’s Hospital, Decatur, and St. John’s Hospital, Springfield.

As an attorney with Bolen, Robinson, and Ellis, I have helped many families grow through my adoption and guardianship practices, and helped solidify the families’ legacies with comprehensive estate planning.

In my personal life, I live in Forsyth with my husband, Rob, daughters, Elizabeth and Audrey, and dog, Copper. As a mother, wife, and attorney, I understand the importance of balancing work and family life. I always strive to provide my clients with the best possible legal representation while maintaining a strong commitment to my family and community.

Being a Partner at Bolen, Robinson, and Ellis, LLP is an exceptional experience. I work alongside highly experienced attorneys who are dedicated to providing clients with personalized legal services tailored to their specific needs. Our team takes a collaborative approach, bringing together our collective expertise and resources to deliver the best possible results for our clients.

What I value most about being a Partner at BRE Law is the support and mentorship we offer our associates. We invest in our team's growth and success through training, mentorship, and ongoing education. Our commitment to professional development ultimately benefits our clients, as we are continually expanding our knowledge and skills to better serve their needs.

At BRE Law, we also value community involvement and pro bono work. As a Partner, I have had the opportunity to serve on various boards and committees that give back to the communities we serve. We are committed to using our legal expertise to make a positive impact on our local communities.

What makes our team truly special is our warmth and personality. We are a group of dedicated professionals who take pride in the work we do, but we never lose sight of the importance of kindness, compassion, and human connection. As a Partner at BRE Law, I am proud to work with a team of people who are not only excellent at what they do but who also genuinely care about our clients and each other.

Overall, being a Partner at Bolen, Robinson, and Ellis, LLP is a fulfilling experience that allows me to work with a team of exceptional individuals who share my passion for delivering personalized legal services with a human touch.
